La vie à la campagne

Flashes of vivid color emerge from the blackness of the background, enlivening two tractors and the supporting structure of a barn. The foliage of a large tree frames and breaks the scene from back to front much like a green lace fabric. In the left part of the diptych, the structure of the first tractor matches that of the barn, together forming one and the same body. In the right part, the wooden posts of the barn structure taper off, but the structure holds.
